Handspinning with Ellen Minard
Playing with Color on the Spinning Wheel
The Retreat Handspinning Session will feature this class with Ellen Minard:
Saturday all day and Sunday morning

Working with both hand painted and commercially dyed top, you will learn how to control the colors through blending, drafting, and plying. You can choose to create a vibrant colorful yarn, or more muted colors. This is a relaxed, fun, easy paced workshop, and you will end up with lots of little skeins to play with, and plenty of techniques to add to your arsenal!
Skill level: Advanced beginner, you must be able to spin a consistent yarn, and be able to ply.
Tools: You must bring a working wheel, with at least three empty bobbins.
If you have a mini niddy noddy, and/or hand carders, please bring them.
